Uhhggg, I've been a terrible blogger lately. A combination of lethargy, new hobbies, old hobbies, rain, softball, yoga, sadness, bike riding and lots of kissing = no blogging. But, alas, I am back to share some photos of the wedding (or commitment ceremony, if you like, since it was in NY and we so far, do not have marriage equality here because our senate has decided not to work for the people any longer) of our dear friends J and H.
J and H wore beautiful outfits fitting their personalities and their vision for the entire affair.
The ceremony was very unique and was my first experience with wiccan elements. The officiant had a wand and honored the 4 cardinal directions, North, South, East and West. It was awesome.
The ceremony also incorporated specific elements: a shell with sea salt, a bell, a candle and ribbons.
J and H celebrated their commitment to each other with the handfasting ritual.
The setting of the ceremony was beautiful. I didn't get any pics of the grounds because it was raining, but they were green and gorgeous and stretched on for quite a ways. Inside the tent we were very cozy and happy and celebrated the joining of J and H for hours.
OOOOHHH and the cake! This was one of the best tasting cakes I have ever had. I ate 4 pieces and took some to go. It was so tasty I just couldn't get enough.
Wedding party!
Stunning bouquet!
Journal of a lovely day! Congrats ladies!

That is one of the best looking cakes I've ever seen. I can't believe that it tasted good as well. :)
It ain't the frequency, it's the content. Your blog is righteous! It stands for Justice. That's plenty good.
Wedding, brides, guests all look beautiful!
OH! Great pictures. I love the hanging flowers. Are they flowers?
Here's to kissing.

Schmenda and Leah, you will never understand just how much you both mean to me, and how amazingly thankful I am for you both!! You made Julie & I's day that much more meaningful... We are still so very in love - we have great role models in the 2 of you!!!
